Hematology Opportunity - Danbury, Connecticut - 60 Miles from New York City
Danbury Hospital, located in Danbury, Connecticut, just 60 minutes north of New York City in Fairfield County and next to Westchester County in NY, is seeking an academically-oriented Hematologist (both classical and malignant hematology). This position will focus on treating patients with hematologic malignancies but will also oversee evaluation of treatment of patients with classical hematology conditions, with APP support. Danbury Hospital is part of Nuvance Health, which includes 7 hospitals/cancer centers throughout western Connecticut and southeastern New York and diagnoses approximately 4600 new cancer cases each year. Our Cancer Institute is growing rapidly as we are expanding our clinical trial portfolio, aligning with an academic partner, and positioning ourselves to be a destination cancer program in this region. A system leadership opportunity is available for the appropriate candidate. Our System Chair of the Cancer Institute, Dr. Adam Boruchov, will be attending the upcoming ASCO meeting in June and will be available to meet with interested candidates.
Danbury Hospital provides our hospital systems and multi-specialty practice with tertiary oncology services and is accredited by The American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. Danbury has many of the key elements of a comprehensive oncology service line in place, including state-of-the-art radiation oncology and Surgical specialty services in Breast, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Genitourinary Oncology and Hepatobiliary Surgery. Nurse navigation, Genetic counseling and screening are available onsite. There is ample opportunity to pursue research and clinical trials.

Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000
physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

$400,000-$550,000/ per year relative to experience and position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
