Position
Summary:
As a Accounting Consultant, you will play a critical role in the finance department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Your responsibilities will include general ledger management, financial analysis, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles.
Experience with Great Plains software is highly desirable for this role.
What you'll do as an Accounting Consultant:
Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Participate in the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Support the implementation and utilization of Great Plains software.
Stay updated with industry trends and changes in accounting standards.
What we are looking for in an Accounting Consultant:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
CPA designation is a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Great Plains software.
Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Diligent attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
