Mental Health Associate
Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York - plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices.
Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.
Summary:
The Mental Health Associate observes and provides patient care support under the supervision of the RN.
Provides clerical support, as necessary, to assigned service.
Responsibilities:
1.
Observes, interacts and provides direction for all patients assigned while under the supervision of an RN.
Conveys the patient's objective behavior, level of functioning, & any problems or difficulties the patient is experiencing to RN.
2.
Assists RN in implementing the plan of care for the patient.
3.
Provides a safe and/or secure environment for the patient/community.
4.
Completes all secretarial functions.
5.
Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
6.
Recognizes value of continued professional growth and development.
7.
Assists in orienting new staff.
8.
Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
9.
Performs other duties as assigned.
