Our Central Billing Office, located in Danbury, CT is now hiring a full-time, self-motivated and organized Customer Service Associate.
Schedule-Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

All forms of patient collections Assisting with patient customer service Research, correct, and re-bill erroneous claims Answer all questions regarding billing procedures and policies of the practice Set up and enforce financial agreements and payment plans with patients Call patients that owe balances prior to their appointments Correct insurance issues and re-point charges to the correct insurance Answer incoming patient billing phone calls; work to resolve patient issues Assist the registration department and/or secretaries with any billing/policy related questions Research and process patient refunds Process credit cards via telephone or process mailed payments Post all actions related to patient inquiries into the practice management systems Print all paper claims from the practice management system, organize, mail out as a primary or secondary claim Hand over the claims that require medical records or invoices to the proper handle Print appointments for the following day, where patients owe balances; call patients and tell them that payment is expected at time of service; flag corresponding accounts for registration/secretaries, to collect payments Process all returned mail Utilize all available technology to process claims in an accurate and timely manner Process patient overpayments Perform other related duties that may be inclusive, but not listed on the job description REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Must have excellent time management and organization skills in order to keep all the above tasks completed in a timely manner A minimum of 2 years billing and collections experience in a medical office Knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD 10 Knowledge of government, commercial and third-party payer regulations Experience with payer websites for claim and eligibility information Knowledge of insurance verification process for managed care and workers compensation OrthoConnecticut, delivering exceptional care and real results has always been our mission, though we did things a little differently when we opened our doors in 1954.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
