Responsibilities:
A Kforce client is seeking a Global Commodity Manager - Direct in Danbury, Connecticut (CT).
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Develop intimate knowledge of key stakeholder business needs to create strategies along with best-in-class sourcing and partnership practices (Product Management, Process Engineering, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain) Develop key relationships for partnering with company LOB constituents Manage new product development projects as well as end of life and parts obsolescence processes Manage and lead cost savings projects with associated electromechanical and/or other related technology suppliers Manage complex supply chain/procurement situations with aggressive goals and often short notice for suppliers Monitor Accounts payable and interface with supply chain for resolution as needed Monitor Purchase Price Variance as well as standard cost for key partnership including influence of exchange rates Maintain active compliance with EHS, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain and Contract rules, SAP, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
5
years of experience in procurement/strategic sourcing/contracting/sub-contracting/supply chain, preferably in a global technical product delivery organization, with a clear record of success and achievement dealing with complex supply chain/procurement issues Experience negotiating world-class terms and conditions for supplier agreements; Demonstrate understanding of client contract management process, terms and conditions, and corporate policies; Experience negotiating with non US based suppliers a plus Experience in managing internal stakeholders and a record of success in Procurement transformation and change management Experience in continuous improvement, process flows, and reengineering principles to drive down cost and increase quality In-depth knowledge of procurement/sourcing principles and processes and ability to conduct detailed financial analyses Domain expertise for accountable technologies and market dynamics (i.
e.
plastics and steel price indexes) Must have both excellent one on one and large audience/presentation skills Ability to analyze various strategic options and their direct potential and indirect impact on the organization Ability to develop and execute a category strategy for the technology partnerships including being a subject matter expert for associated products/spares/consumables as well as understanding the impact of foreign currency i.
