Each bedroom has a full bed, and there is an additional single bed in an entertainment room. The main bedroom suite with a queen bed, has an adjoining office/tv screen room, and a marble glass shower with Waterworks sink and fixtures. The kitchen has a professional stove, farmhouse sink and soapstone counters. The generous one-room cottage/Pool house is nicely furnished and private. The heated, in-ground pool area is separate from the house and completely private, landscaped with exotic Japanese trees, ancient stone walls, and the pool is furnished with teak steamer lounge chairs. It is 1.5 hrs from Grand Central Station by train (Redding Station just up the road, or a 15 min. drive to Brewster Station) and 1 hour 10 minutes by car to Manhattan. 10 min. drive to a large Whole Foods and restaurants in Ridgefield, Wilton, Bethel and Georgetown. The house sits across from a sheep meadow and abuts both in the front and back, hundreds of acres of wildlife preserve with fields and hiking trails. WIFI and central air conditioning included GUEST HOUSE: Up the drive sits a modern, light-filled separate studio/guest house with a kitchenette, bathroom with shower, and private stone patio. The cottage overlooks a sweep of lawn and the backwoods. adult, well-behaved dogs are allowed on case by case basis. NO cats, please.
